Get Started
Reaching out is the hardest part. Here is what happens next.
Tell us what you're noticing.
Fill out the appointment request form with a little about who needs support and what has been happening.
We think through the right fit.
We look at your concerns, your schedule, and which clinician's specialty fits what you are facing.
Start with your clinician.
Your clinician reaches out to schedule the first session and helps you decide where to begin.
What makes concord different
Therapy that is warm, honest, and engaged.
Warm, honest therapy.
We are kind. We are not passive. Our clinicians help you slow down, name what is happening, and work with the patterns that keep coming back.
Whole-picture care.
Even when one person is in the room, the people around them matter. We pay attention to family, relationships, school pressure, identity, parenting, and the transitions underneath it all.
Thoughtful clinician matching.
You should not have to read every bio and guess. We connect you with a clinician who fits what is actually going on.
Clear goals, real progress.
Therapy should not feel like wandering. We help you name what you are working toward, notice what is changing, and adjust as you go.
WHAT PROGRESS CAN LOOK LIKE
Progress probably looks different than you expect.
When everything is supposed to look a certain way, it is tempting to hope therapy will make it look fine again. The grades back up. The mood back to normal. The family back to looking the way it is supposed to look. We hope for something steadier than that. Real change is usually quieter. Your teen tells you something true instead of saying they are fine. Your child has a big feeling and does not come apart. The same argument in your marriage finally goes somewhere. You stop bracing for the next thing. It is rarely fast, and we will not pretend it is. But it is real, and you will feel it. Not because everything looks good again, but because something underneath actually shifted.
When you are ready, we are ready.
The first step is one short form. We will take it from there.
Sometimes parents do not need a long-term therapy plan yet.
They need a clear place to start.
Maybe everything looks fine from the outside. The grades are good. The calendar is full. People think your family is doing well. But inside your home, something feels off.
A Parent Strategy Session is a focused consultation for parents who need clarity, direction, and a thoughtful next step before committing to ongoing therapy.
Lydia helps parents slow down the pattern at home, name what keeps happening, and begin the conversations they have been avoiding.
A small, carefully chosen team.
Concord is more than one therapist. Our clinicians work across childhood, the teen years, young adulthood, and family life, so you are matched with the right person for what your family is facing, not whoever happens to be available.

FAQ
Questions people usually have before reaching out.
You do not have to know exactly what kind of counseling you need before you contact us. These are the questions families most often ask first.
Do you take insurance?
Concord Family Counseling is a private-pay practice. We do not take insurance directly. This allows us to focus on fit, privacy, clinical care, and the kind of support that makes the most sense for your family instead of letting insurance requirements drive the work.
If you are planning to use out-of-network benefits, check with your insurance company before scheduling. We can let you know what information we are able to provide for reimbursement purposes.
How much does counseling cost?
Concord Family Counseling is a private-pay practice. Standard therapy fees are for 50-minute sessions.
- Lydia Thompson: $190 per 50-minute session
- Jordyn Greenberg and Alex Ralston: $165 per 50-minute session
- Halle Brandt: $120 per 50-minute session
Parent Strategy Sessions, family sessions, couples sessions, or intensives may be priced differently depending on the format and clinician. We will talk through cost before scheduling so you are not surprised.
How do I know which clinician is the right fit?
You do not have to figure that out alone. Tell us a little about what is going on, who needs support, your availability, and any budget considerations. Our intake process helps connect kids, teens, couples, young adults, individuals, and families with a clinician who makes sense for the situation.
How often do clients usually come to counseling?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions. Weekly counseling helps you and your clinician build momentum, understand what is happening, and start working toward change with enough consistency for the work to take hold.
As things begin to feel steadier, your clinician may talk with you about whether it makes sense to continue weekly, move to every other week, or adjust the rhythm based on your goals and what kind of support is needed.
What happens after I request an appointment?
After you submit the appointment request form, someone from our team will review your information and follow up about next steps. We may ask a few clarifying questions so we can better understand what kind of support you are looking for and which clinician may be the best fit.
Do you work with teens who are not excited about therapy?
Yes. Many teens are unsure about therapy at first. We do not expect them to walk in ready to explain everything. Our clinicians work to build trust with teens while also helping parents understand how to support the process.
Do you offer parent strategy sessions?
Yes. Parent Strategy Sessions are designed for parents who need a clearer place to start. Sometimes you may not know whether your child, teen, young adult, or whole family needs ongoing therapy yet. A parent strategy session gives you space to slow down, name what is happening, and think through next steps with clinical support.
